A “parody-opera” that mixes “Little Red Riding Hood” in the blender with well-known operas, children’s songs and TV ads, all the while commenting cheekily on the relation of the sexes just before the end of the 20th century, Kharálampos Goyós’s youthful opera is one of the most widespread Greek music theatre pieces of recent years, having already had two successful productions in Athens (1998 and 2005), repeated radio transmissions and a commercial studio recording by the Orchestra of Colours. Its new production as part of GRIMMKnot aspires to propose a new, “guerilla”, underground (literally as well as metaphorically) model of mounting cheap contemporary music theatre in an unusual venue such as the Knot Gallery (especially urgent in times of general financial malaise).
By contributing to this, the first of four sub-projects for the opera, you are helping us raise the fee for the artist singing "Little Red Riding Hood"!
